When I first read about this, I thought it went against all the theories of what a conditioner is.  We think of milk, yoghurt, products that sound smooth and silky.  Not VINEGAR, which is an astringent.  But yes, vinegar truly works.

The joys of using something that you have in your home, that usually comes in a recyclable glass bottle, and that is natural.   You can use any vinegar, but I would not use the spirit vinegars.  I use apple cider or grape vinegar.

Wash you hair, then simply pour some vinegar that has been diluted in some water over your hair and rub it in.  Careful not to open your eyes as it will burn.  Leave it on for a minute and then rinse it off.   I use about a 1/4 cup of vinegar to half a cup of water.

I am not sure how it works but my theory is that it pulls the natural oils out of your scalp and into your hair.  As you start rinsing, you can feel the silky softiness .

It does not smell at all afterwards and leaves you hair really soft and tangle free.
